通過對建筑丁基防水嵌縫膠的檢測工作，發現了丁基防水嵌縫膠產品存在的問題，分析了這些問題在產品實際應用中將產生的危害，提醒廠商和用戶應以玻璃幕墻結構安全為重，加強對丁基防水嵌縫膠生產質量及應用環節的監控。
在玻璃幕墻領域，作為重要基材之一的建筑丁基防水嵌縫膠在鍍膜玻璃與鋁合金框架之間起著重要的粘結作用。結構玻璃的裝配是使用丁基防水嵌縫膠把玻璃固定在鋁框上，將玻璃鑲片承受的作用通過膠縫傳遞到鋁框上，結構玻璃的自重和風荷載完全依靠丁基防水嵌縫膠粘結力來承擔。因而，要求丁基防水嵌縫膠對建筑物環境中的每一個因素，包括熱應力、風載荷、氣候變化或地震作用，均有相應抵抗預計環境力量的能力，這就要求丁基防水嵌縫密封膠具有必要的性能。而丁基防水嵌縫膠與其相接觸基材之間的相容性是滿足其他性能要求的先決條件。
目前丁基防水嵌縫膠執行的是GB16776-1997《建筑用丁基防水嵌縫膠》標準，相容性試驗實際包括了基材的剝離粘結性試驗和附件的相容性試驗。建筑丁基防水嵌縫膠從理論上來說對于玻璃、鋁材都具有較好的粘結性，但由于各類基材在生產、運輸等過程中，都將產生各種不利因素，使之產生粘結不良。即使密封膠和基材都沒有質量問題，由于目前還無法確定的原因，仍會產生粘結不良。http://www.inaodoi.com/
